What
is The Wicked Cherry Webring?
Well first let us start out by telling you exactly what a webring is. A
webring is
a whole bunch of linked up websites that have common interests such as
music, art, fan sites etc. It can also have multiple interests depending on the webring
owner.
How does a webring
actually work?
A webmaster that is interested in joining signs up for a ring membership for
the ring of their choice. If accepted, the site owner will be issued a unique html code
also known as navigational links. Once these links are applied to a member's website they
then can then be used to take visitors from member site to member site. Causing a web
*ring*.
Who & How Can I Join?
Our webring is devoted to any sites related to art, authors, artists, body
art, photography, music, supernatural, ufos, sites gothic in nature, new age, retail
businesses ( no spam or bs link pages ).
You must first get an Webring.Com ID. So start by visiting www.webring.com and filling out the form. Then you can
visit http://m.webring.com/hub?ring=wickedcherrywebr
to join.
As long as your site fits our criteria you are welcome to sign up. Please
note you must display the navigation links on the exact page you register with. If it's a
webring or links page you must register that URL. There will be
NO exceptions. The ring is on auto-check, which means if your site does not
have the correct html on the listed site, it will then suspend your website, therefore
defeating the purpose of being a member of the ring. If you concerned about visitors not
seeing your main site, be sure to place a clear link back to your home page.
Do I have to use the Nav
Bar?
You do not have to use the java
nav bar, but follow the directions on your Webring Ring User page for straight html
navigation links. DO NOT copy links from another website, you will NOT get exposure that way, if you do that the only thing you will be doing is
promoting the ring by letting your visitors access the cue.
Do you have a choice for
different logos I can use ?
Sorry, not at this time. |
